Brewster, M.A. 一 The Whitecaps look to extend their win streak to four at Stony Brook Field against the Wareham Gatemen, starting at 5:00pm.

Starting on the mound for the Whitecaps will be right-hander Jackson Nezuh from Florida State, who will be making his first appearance this season.

The Whitecaps, who have won the last three in a row, seem to have plenty of momentum on both sides of the ball.

Over the past three games, the Whitecaps pitching staff have allowed just three runs, and are coming off of masterful performances from Henry Leake (Boston College), Braxton Pearson (TCU), and Will Greer (Bucknell) in Thursday’s win.

To accompany the lights-out pitching, the Whitecaps offense has seemingly found its stride as well.

Seven of the nine Whitecaps starters recorded at least one hit last game, with Kurtis Byrne (TCU) making his triumphant return to the lineup by ripping a pair of singles in his first start.

“It felt pretty good, especially playing here last year. I was really excited to get back and get a good start.” Byrne said.

Byrne is coming off of his best offensive season to date, totaling a .291 batting average and knocking in 44 runs for the Horned Frogs.

Make sure to look out for the impact Kurtis has on this Whitecaps team as both a hitter and a leader. And of course, keep an eye on the Whitecaps pitching which doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
