Brewster, M.A. 一 After having Wednesday off, the Whitecaps look to extend their win streak against the Orleans Firebirds at Eldredge Park, with the first pitch at 6:30pm.
Brewster will give the nod to Henry Leake (Boston College) who will make his first start in a Whitecaps uniform.
Leake appeared 18 times for the Eagles this spring and recorded 54 strikeouts over 51.2 innings of work.
One thing to look for at Thursday’s game are the smoking hot bats of Cape league newcomers Parks Harber (Georgia) and Grayson Tatrow (Abilene Christian).
In the previous game against the Y-D Red Sox, Harber and Tatrow combined for three of the five Whitecaps hits.
Harber is coming off of a stellar sophomore campaign for the Bulldogs; slashing an impressive .307 batting average to go with 13 home runs and 53 runs batted in.
Tatrow was also an offensive force for his ACU Wildcats, crushing 17 home runs with 66 runs batted in.
Also make sure to keep your eyes peeled for any of the Whitecaps pitchers, as the staff has only allowed one run over the last two games combined.
