Whitecaps looking for archivists

Do you want to help preserve the history of tomorrow’s MLB players?

The Brewster Whitecaps are looking for volunteers to help preserve the history of the team. They are currently undergoing a project that entails consolidating yearbooks, photos, movies and more into one searchable, online database.

General Manager Ned Monthie is now accepting applications for volunteers to help be an integral part of the Whitecaps’ digital archiving team. There are already 9,000 photos ready to be sorted and saved for the future.

This work — which will be crucial for players, members of the media and fans — can all be done remotely. The Whitecaps are searching for volunteers who might have archiving and digital media skills.

Chris Kenney and the entire technology team has worked hard to bring the Whitecaps into the modern era, and now are asking for your help in the effort.

Those interested can apply here. If there are any questions, please reach out to General Manager Ned Monthie.
