Brewster, M.A. 一 The Whitecaps look to rebound from Sunday’s doubleheader as they face the Hyannis Harbor Hawks at home, with the first pitch at 5:00pm.
Cape league veteran Brian Fitzpatrick (Rutgers) will be on the bump for his second start of the season.
In Fitzpatrick’s first start of the summer, he paved the way to a shutout effort against the Y-D Red Sox, allowing just three hits and no runs over four innings.
The Caps’ pitching has continued to be effective, as the staff holds an exceptional 2.35 earned run average through their first eight contests.
However, the offense has been mostly nonexistent over the past few games.
In Sunday’s doubleheader, Brewster’s bats struck out 21 times and could not push across a single run in either game.
The Harbor Hawks (2-3) have similarly had struggles at the plate as they hold a mere .188 batting average as a team heading into today’s game.
Make sure to look out for another stellar performance from the Whitecaps pitching staff, as well as a bounce-back effort from the offense.
