Whitecaps Look to Reach 10th Win

By: Finn Riley

Brewster, M.A. 一 The Whitecaps seek revenge on the Orleans Firebirds at Eldredge Park with the first pitch at 6:30pm.

Joe Mancini (Boston College) will take the mound for his fourth start of the season.

Mancini has been on a roll in his past few starts, allowing just four hits and one run over his last ten innings pitched, he currently holds a 1.92 earned run average for the summer.

Following yesterday’s tie, the Whitecaps will certainly look to get on the scoreboard after scoring zero runs on eight hits.

One thing to look for in today’s game is a dominant pitching performance from the Whitecaps staff, as they managed to throw a shutout in last night’s game.

Also, keep an eye out for Trevor Werner (Texas A&M) who has made noise on the offensive side of the ball in his first two games, and is coming off his first multi-hit game.

Tune into our Twitter (@WhitecapsCCBL) for live updates on the game and listen to a radio call (here) from commentators Johnny Gadamowitz and Doug Lattuca.
