Whitecaps Aim For First Place

By: Finn Riley

Brewster, M.A. 一 The Whitecaps take on the Falmouth Commodores at Stony Brook Field, with the first pitch at 5:00 pm.

Zane Morehouse (Texas) is making his second start of the summer for Brewster, which also happens to be his second time facing Falmouth.

In his first outing against the Commodores, Morehouse went 4⅔ innings, collected four strikeouts, and allowed no runs.

The Caps are coming off yet another tie game, but have more reason to be confident after coming back down 4-0 to end in a 4-4 tie.

The Brewster bats totaled seven hits and will look to build off of their strong finish against the Anglers.

Make sure to watch for the bat of Cam Fisher (UNC Charlotte) who has made an immediate impact through his first three games, as he heads into tonight’s game with a .333 batting average.

Tonight’s game could potentially propel the Caps into first place in the East, as they currently sit a half-game back of the first-place Y-D Red Sox.

Tune into our Twitter (@WhitecapsCCBL) for live updates on the game and listen to a radio call (here) from commentators Johnny Gadamowitz and Doug Lattuca.
