Brewster, M.A. — The Whitecaps head to Red Wilson Field to go for the series sweep of the Y-D Red Sox at 3:00 pm, as they look to punch their ticket to the championship game for the second straight year.
The Caps have now won all three of their playoff games so far, and are continuing to perform at the highest level on the mound and at the plate.
For game two, the Whitecaps are sending out Ryan Ure (Oklahoma State) for his fifth start of the season and the potential series-ending game.
This season, Ure has recorded a dominant 1.50 earned run average through 24 innings as both a starter and a reliever and has been one of the most consistent arms in the Whitecaps pitching staff.
On the offensive side, the Brewster bats keep on sending balls into the outfield trees, with three more home runs hit in yesterday’s game, two of which came from Carson DeMartini (Virginia Tech).
The Caps bullpen has also been delivering quality outings as a whole, as they allowed just one run over six innings to a steaming-hot Red Sox offense.
In today’s game, make sure to keep an eye out for pretty much every aspect of this Whitecaps team as their quality of play has been off the charts so far.
